Black Weekend in Plovdiv!
Would you like to visit the historic sites in the city under the hills after the emblematic 2019, when the city was the European Capital of Culture? On March 13, 14 and 15 you will have the opportunity to touch the magic of your beloved Plovdiv at a discounted price. We are expecting you on March 13, 14 and 15 in Plovdiv to get to know # TOGETHER this magnetic city!
Cultural centers, restaurants, pubs and hotels will hospitably open their doors to welcome the guests and residents of the city, offering attractive discounts.
Visitors will be able to experience the magic of Plovdiv and immerse themselves in the incredible atmosphere of the city, visit concerts, performances, museums and galleries to taste the specialtiesin at the establishments, relax and spend the night at their hotel.
Volunteers from universities and schools in the city will assist visitors with information.
The opening will be on Friday, March 13 at 4pm.
The special online poll will allow visitors to vote for the site that most impressed them during the event. In this way one can distinguish the most hospitable cultural institute, hotel or restaurant.
By filling out the poll you will participate in the prize draw:
– free overnight stay for two at a hotel of your choice;
– dinner for two;
– tickets for two for an optional play;
– voucher with a 50% discount for SPA and relaxation;
– family ticket to visit a museum / gallery of your choice.
At a formal dinner on Tuesday, March 17 the awards for “The most hospitable hotel, restaurant and cultural institution” will be announced and awarded, based on the results from the online survey.
The weekend in Plovdiv is unique in its own right, which will be held for the third time on the territory of Bulgaria and is an occasion for many visitors to become part of the magic of Eternal Plovdiv. The event is organized by the Tourism Council – Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv in active partnership with the University of Food Technology – Plovdiv, OI “Ancient Plovdiv”, vocational schools and higher education institutions.
